ClaytonWorks Publishing was started as a way of creating an imprint for
my self-published books, and we recently branched out when Ricker Winsor
started sending letters home from Indonesia to friends and I suggested
he should compile the letters into a book. That book is
Pakuwon City. And
then Jack Butler sent me selections from his book
Practicing Zen Without a
Licence, and I asked him if we could publish it, and I was amazed
and overjoyed when he said yes. |
ClaytonWorks = Alec and Gabi Clayton

met in New York in 1974 where they worked for a
alternative newspaper published by a service organization called Everything for
Everybody. They co-founded a publishing company in Hattiesburg, Mississippi in the late 1970s and published, in succession, a weekly newspaper, a monthly magazine and a quarterly art and literary journal.
They moved to Olympia, Washington in 1988
and began offering services in web design and graphic arts in 1995. They
started the publishing division of ClaytonWorks after publishing Alec's first
novel in 2000.
